Overview

Dr. José-María Villalón has served as Head of Medical for Club Atlético de Madrid for more than 25 years. With extensive experience in the prevention and treatment of injuries in high performance athletes, he is renowned as a medical specialist in Physical Education, Sports Medicine and Sports Traumatology. Previously, Dr. Villalón was Head of Medical Services for Royal Spanish Athletic Federation, where he attended athletes as the official doctor at the Seoul 1988 and Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games.

Since 1992, Dr. Villalón has maintained his practice at the University of Navarra Clinic in Madrid in the department of Orthopedic and Traumatology. He is also an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the San Pablo CEU University.
