Florent Aziri is the Medical Director of the Swiss Association of Football Players (FIFPro Member), leading efforts in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for Swiss elite football players. He oversees the development of health protocols for Swiss elite football players and collaborates with global partners like the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) to advance football health research. As Sports Neuroscientist at the University of Zurich and University Children’s Hospital Zurich, he is specialized in the role of sleep in the recovery processes from mild traumatic brain injuries and sub-concussive impacts in football. He is leading international research projects aiming to find the first therapeutic measure to increase recovery after mTBI. With an interdisciplinary background spanning Elite Sport Science and Biomedical Science, he bridges the gap between research and practical applications in athlete health and performance.
